strong>Your comments on how Indonesian security authorities have played down potential security threats surrounding the return of more than 140 Indonesians from war-torn Syria, home to the Islamic State (IS) movement:

As fellow citizens, these men and women were my brothers and sisters. They didn'€™t realize that when they saw the recruitment incentives, they would forsake their Indonesian identity to become members of the Islamic State (IS) group.

It may sound harsh and inhumane not to allow them to come back home, but let it be a lesson to the rest of us on how wrong and dangerous they are.

Humanitarian-wise, these 140 people can only be accepted, but cannot be allowed to mingle with our citizens, lest they propagate their beliefs to others.

I consider that our belief in (the national ideology of) Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) is better than IS supporters'€™ ideology.

Why were they allowed back into the country? The government has something wrong with its treatment of IS returnees.
