fter a dramatic bout, Indonesian men'€™s doubles pair Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan on Saturday booked their finals spot in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Dubai World Superseries Finals 2015.

Hendra/Ahsan will be the only Indonesian pair in the final. In the thrilling semifinal match, world number two pairing Hendra/Ahsan knocked out world number one pair Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong of South Korea 21-17, 22-24, 21-15 in 69 minutes.

'€œWe'€™re really grateful to be able to be on this stage. One more match to go, but we won'€™t overthink it. We just have to stay focused,'€ Ahsan said after the match, as quoted by the Indonesian Badminton Association'€™s (PBSI) website, badmintonindonesia.org.

It was Hendra/Ahsan'€™s fourth victory against Lee/Yoo out of their 10 meetings so far. During the qualifying round in Group A earlier this week, the Indonesian pair lost in a straight match against the South Koreans.

'€œIt wasn'€™t easy to beat [Lee/Yoo], but we refused to lose,'€ added Ahsan.

In the finals on Sunday, Hendra/Ahsan are set to meet world number five pair Chai Biao/Hong Wei of China, who beat world number three partners Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen of Denmark in the semifinal.

Other Indonesian shuttlers, Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii in the women'€™s doubles as well as Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto in the mixed doubles, failed to progress to the finals.
