President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo will reportedly attend a Christmas celebration in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Monday.
'The President said he wanted to [attend the Christmas celebration]. I told him that I'm ready [to welcome him],' NTT Governor Frans Lebu Raya told a press conference at his office on Friday as quoted by kompas.com.
Frans then urged all parties to help ensure the success of the celebration.
He added that the NTT government had also made preparations for other national-level events such as Social Solidarity Day and Women's Day.
'From the list that we have, around 4,000 are set to attend Social Solidarity Day. [Most of them] will come from outside the regency,' said Frans. (kes)
