President Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo attended the opening ceremony of a journalistic photo exhibition held to mark the one-year anniversary of his administration at the Bank Mandiri Museum in Kota Tua, West Jakarta, on Friday.

The exhibition displayed a collection of photos taken by members of the Indonesian Photojournalists Association (PFI) during their reportage on the activities of Jokowi, Vice President Jusuf Kalla and Cabinet ministers, which were selected by curator Beawiharta.

'€œBeautiful. There are close-ups and those taken from afar. A large number of photos give a [strong] impression,'€ said Jokowi as quoted by the State Palace Press Bureau.

He added that there were so many activities conducted last year that resulted in many photos being taken from different angles.

'€œSuch as this photo [of me] carrying my shoes; I didn'€™t realize it. The photographer was cheeky; [he probably] took [the picture] from afar,'€ said Jokowi.

When asked which photo stood out the most, he said: '€œThe photo of a child who couldn'€™t take a picture with me so took one with the car.'€

The opening ceremony was also attended by Manpower Minister Hanif Dhakiri, Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki and Bank Mandiri president director Budi Gunadi Sadikin.

The exhibition runs until Dec. 24. (kes)
