Singer Vidi Aldiano said he was happy that Indonesian martial artists were starring in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the seventh installment of the Star Wars saga.
'I am satisfied. The film meets my expectations. The story and the cast are great,' he said after the movie as quoted by tribunews.com.
In the film, Indonesian actors Iko Uwais, Cecep Arif Rahman and Yayan Ruhian star as notorious Kanjiklub gangsters.
'Although their scene is brief, it is enough to make us, as Indonesians, feel proud,' he said.
Vidi said he and his father had impatiently waited for the film's release for quite some time. 'I love Star Wars so much. When I was a kid, my father gave me many Star Wars toys. He was a big Star Wars fan.'
