AKARTA: Actor Abimana Aryasatya wants to work as a movie director or producer in the near future, kompas.com has reported.
'It will take some time because I will need to study and learn first. There is no short cut,' he said during a Cosmopolitan FM radio anniversary event in Sarinah, Central Jakarta, on Thursday.
He said he would need at least one year to realize his plan. In order to focus on realizing the dream, Abimana said he would take a break from his acting activities.
'I have been in this industry since I was a teen, but in reality I don't really like to work in front of the camera. I guess I get bored. Sometimes people get bored with their jobs, so they have to take a break,' he said.
He said his plan to work behind the camera was fully supported by his friends and family.
