epok Police have ordered an autopsy on the body of a 7-year-old boy, the young victim in a recent murder case, in an attempt to reveal the motive behind the homicide.
'We are looking for signs of sexual abuse,' Depok Police chief Sr. Comr. Dwiyono said on Sunday as quoted by wartakotalive.com, adding that the police were waiting for the autopsy result from the National Police hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.
The boy was reported missing after school on Saturday. Police personnel later raided a house in Depok, where the boy was allegedly kidnapped, finding him dead inside a bathroom.
Police arrested a murder suspect identified as Januar Arifin alias Begeng, 35, but he has so far maintained his innocence.
Dwiyono said that Begeng and the victim were close and that the suspect had alledgedly kidnapped the boy by promising him Rp 2,000 (14 US cents).
Meanwhile, Begeng has said that he was ordered by a group of people to kidnap the boy and to take him to his house.
'I have no idea what the people did to the boy in the room. I do not know because I was outside [of the house],' he explained.
'If I did not fulfill their order, they said that they would kill me. So, it wasn't me who killed the boy.'
