South Pesisir Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) head Pri Nurdin said three children ' Aisila, 3, Raja, 6, and Vilzi, 6 ' had sustained serious injuries and had been transferred to Dr M. Djamil General Hospital in the provincial capital of Padang.
'The seven other victims, meanwhile, are receiving treatment in a local community health center (Puskesmas),' he said.
The Jabal Nur Kindergarten is located in Taluak Kasai subdistrict in Batang Kapas district. It also offers early childhood education programs (PAUD).
The children were gathered inside one of the classrooms in the compound when the incident took place.
