Guess what?: Piyu invites young talents

J

AKARTA: Guitarist and songwriter Satriyo Yudi Wahono, better known as Piyu, collaborated with emerging singers on his new album Best Cuts of Piyu, in which he offers his fresh interpretations of the greatest hits of his band, PADI.

'€œMost of them came from talent search competitions, such as [Indonesian] Idol,'€ Piyu said as quoted by tribunnews.com at the album launch.

'€œI invited them because they hadn'€™t got the chance to make their own single or album. They all have character in their voice.'€

Among the singers taking part in the album was Indonesian Idol contestant Dion Agung, who performed '€œAlasan Terbesar'€ (The Biggest Reason). Ferdinand Pardosi from The Voice Indonesia took the honor of singing PADI'€™s hit '€œHarmoni'€ (Harmony).

Aside from emerging talents, Piyu also invited well-known singer Sandy Sandhoro to sing '€œBelum Terlambat'€ (It'€™s Not Too Late) and former member of SM*SH boyband, Bisma Karisma, to perform '€œBegitu Indah'€ (So Beautiful).

'€œI believe that Bisma Karisma can bring the song to a wider audience, particularly the young generation,'€ Piyu says.
