akarta: Online marketplace Tokopedia announced on Thursday that it had signed an agreement with retail store 7-Eleven, allowing its customers to pay for items bought online through retail outlets in their neighborhoods.
Tokopedia vice president Melissa Siska Juminto said Tokopedia customers, called Toppers, only had to show their booking orders to attendants at 7-Eleven outlets to make payments.
'Toppers can conveniently pay for their bookings at a 7-Eleven,' she said, adding that payments would be verified and forwarded to the online sellers.
The partnership with 7-Eleven follows a similar agreement with retailer Indomaret as part of Tokopedia's move to give customers ease of payment. Payments via Indomaret can be made in installments.
'We hope this service will make it easier for our customers to make transactions,' she added.
