span style="line-height:1.6em">Samsung Electronics Indonesia (SEIN), the local arm of the Korean multinational electronics company, launched a new Samsung SUHD TV on Tuesday in a bid to boost its market share in the UHD TV category.

“To increase our market share, we have to create a new product that isn’t available in the market yet,”  senior product manager of Samsung TV, Ubay Bayanudin, said, claiming that with the quantum dot technology, customers are able to experience more details and lifelike picture qualities.

“We believe that we could cater more to premium markets,” Agustinus Gunadharma, consumer electronic business director of SEIN, said after the launch of four new products at CGV Blitz at Grand Indonesia shopping mall on Tuesday.

Along with SUHD TV, the company launched other new innovations, including a front loading washing machine, two-door refrigerator and an air conditioner with a triangle design. (win/dmr)
