AKARTA: Though he started his career as a teen actor on TV soaps and dramas, Arifin Putra will not return to the glass for a while.
“Since 2014 and the movie The Raid, I have received a lot of film offers,” he said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
That film, he said, had been a tipping point in his career.
Arifin said he would focus now on his film career as he enjoyed the challenge of exploring his acting skills. The cast member of Negeri van Oranje (The Orange Land) said he had been given the privilege of choosing characters to play on film that were new to him.
“There are various characters and genres on film to choose from for our self-fulfillment,” he said. “It’s a privilege for an actor to become whatever he wants on screen and not have to restrain himself.” — JP
