tate airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II plans to operate Terminal 3 Ultimate at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Banten for national flag-carrier Garuda Indonesia as from June 20.

Angkasa Pura’s head of corporate and legal affairs, Agus Haryadi, said, however, the operation of the new terminal was awaiting final commissioning for Garuda Indonesia as well as a permit from the Transportation Ministry.

“Should commissioning and the permit from the ministry go as planned, Garuda Indonesia will be able to use the Terminal 3 Ultimate starting June 20,” Agus said in a statement on Wednesday.

Agus dismissed a notice that went viral via mobile messaging apps and social media listing relocation and changes in departure and arrival terminals for several airlines.

Agus asserted that no changes would be made for other airlines besides Garuda Indonesia.

“The information [on changes for other airlines] is not true. We would definitely give prior notice on any changes in terminal operation,” Agus said.

Agus advised would-be passengers to call their respective airline prior to their departure to ensure the right information regarding terminals, or else advised them to contact the airport operator’s call center at 1500-138. (dmr)
