wo persons died and four others were injured after a minibus was involved in an accident with a truck on a highway in Bogor, West Java, on Tuesday night.

All the dead and injured people were passengers of the minibus, which was traveling to Bogor from Jakarta for a homecoming exodus, said First Insp. Asep Saepudin, head of traffic accidents with the Bogor Police.

“Meanwhile, the truck driver escaped the scene,” Asep said Wednesday as quoted by wartakotalive.com.

Asep explained that the accident started when the minibus, which was running at a high speed, suddenly hit a truck in front of it, likely because the driver of the minibus was sleepy.

The driver was injured along with three other passengers. Meanwhile, the two passengers who died have been identified as Aca, 46, and Muhammad Idrus, 33.
