n Olivier cafe employee who worked as a cafe runner, Agus Triyono, has testified that on Jan. 6, he witnessed a suspicious yellow-colored drink in front of Jessica Kumala Wongso, suspect for the murder of Wayan Mirna Salihin, who died after drinking the Vietnamese iced coffe
Agus served the Vietnamese coffee to Jessica at around 4.30 p.m. and then went on a one-hour break.
While circling the café after coming back from his break, he saw a yellowish liquid on Jessica's table, which by that time was also occupied by Mirna and Juwita “Hani” Boon.
"I told my colleague Rosi to check table number 54. I suggested to Rosi that the lady might be drinking turmeric jamu (traditional herbal medicine),” Agus said, adding that he thought the customers had finished the Vietnamese coffee and filled the glass with jamu.
Rosi then checked Jessica's table. Not long after that, Agus saw Mirna collapse.
Agus said that he had experienced nothing unusual when he served the Vietnamese coffee to Jessica. When he delivered the coffee to Jessica, Agus directly poured hot water onto the coffee powder in the coffee glass as stipulated in the cafe procedures.
At that time Jessica asked him about the coffee type. "I told Jessica that it was Robusta coffee and the taste was quite bitter. [I said that] if it is too bitter you can ask for more milk," Agus recalled. (bbn)
