usinessman turned politician Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno applied for the tax amnesty program at the Sudirman tax office in South Jakarta on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, he only reported individual tax information as his corporate tax details were reported on Tuesday.

"I have already relieved myself of all my business obligations, I am now a full-time politician," Sandiaga said after completing the tax report.

Sandiaga is a Jakarta deputy gubernatorial candidate paired with former culture and education minister Anies Baswedan. He is supported by the Gerindra Party and Prosperous Justice Party.

Despite resigning from all managerial positions in his companies, he still retains ownership in his previous companies, such as his 29.15 percent stake in Saratoga Investama Sedaya, and he continues to be the ultimate shareholder of Recapital Group along with Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) chairman Rosan Perkasa Roeslani.

He said that he had declared all of his wealth and repatriated it from overseas. "I did both the declaration and repatriation. I haven't seen the detailed breakdown between the declaration and repatriation because it is calculated by the team, but I hope the repatriation portion will be bigger," he said.

He did not mention the amount declared and repatriated. Sandiaga also refused to disclose where he will invest the repatriated assets. (bbn)
