ardani Ali Sera, the campaign chief of Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno, says the pair is offering a program that will not only focus on material development, but also make the city less depressive for residents.

“The capital may seem developed. However, there are a lot of evictions that have made the residents depressed. Therefore, Anies and Sandiaga will not only strive to build a better city in a material sense but also to make residents less depressed,” Mardani told journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.

Such aspirations were included in the vision and mission the pair submitted to the Jakarta General Elections Commission, he said.

Sandiaga has focused his attention on how to empower small and medium enterprises in the last nine months, while Anies has come up with an idea to make the city more civilized, Mardani added.

“Anies sees the economy as crucial but civilization and culture as also important. Anies is a man of ideas. We will follow Anies and Sandiaga’s vision to make Jakarta more developed, but it also should make its residents happier,” Mardani said at the Populi Center office in West Jakarta on Thursday.

He said Anies-Sandiga had a good chance of winning the election. “The only problem is there are still a lot of residents who do not know them. Therefore, our duty is to promote the pair to the residents and wrap and deliver our programs to them,” Mardani said. (bbn)
