span class="inline inline-left">The Ultimate Foodies Getaway (UFG) 2016 competition recently came to a close on Oct. 1. In the month that it opened its doors to contestants, it saw nearly 1,000 entrants sending their food photos for a chance to win a culinary escape to Bali.
With the help of over 30,000 voters and a panel of judges, including celebrity chef Rinrin Marinka, the UFG team has finally come up with its list of lucky winners.
These winners will fly from Jakarta to Bali for a four-day decadent adventure filled with private cooking classes, luxury accommodation and food tours of three of the island’s culinary regions – Seminyak, Jimbaran and Ubud.
These dining adventures will give winners a taste of the depth and variety that Bali’s culinary landscape has to offer. Guests will get to experience four different restaurants with tastings of three dishes at each venue.
“Our vision is to introduce the world to the exceptional culinary landscape of Bali. It truly offers some of the world’s most remarkable restaurants and continues to innovate within the global food scene,” says Simon Ward, UFG judge and founder of Bali Food Safari.
Simon created the inaugural UFG competition to spotlight Bali’s innovative culinary offerings, its talented local chefs and its luxury experiences.
“Ultimate Foodies Getaway has been an outstanding success and a lot of fun to put together. We proudly thank and congratulate all of our participants, voters, sponsors and winners! An overwhelming response from all the foodies out there and we are truly looking forward to this event! Stay tuned we have more to come,” Ward said.
Congratulations to the 2 Ultimate Foodie Getaway winners!
Natasha Victoria Lucas for “The Pancake” - Best Photo Selection by Panel of Judges.
Nasrullah Taufik for “The Burger” - Best Photo by Most Votes
See you on the Ultimate Foodies Getaway weekend in Bali 14 – 17 October 2016!
