Actor Ario Bayu is the kind of guy who likes to keep things easy and efficient when it comes to gadgets
ctor Ario Bayu is the kind of guy who likes to keep things easy and efficient when it comes to gadgets.
“I am not the kind of guy who wants to have the most super sophisticated and most updated gadgets,” Ario told The Jakarta Post in a recent interview.
“Actually, the only thing in my possession that I consider as a smart gadget is my smartphone,” he said.
Ario didn’t have to spend a single dime on his smartphone because he received an endorsement.

Gadgets
First, my main smartphone is the Samsung Galaxy S7. I use it because I was endorsed by Samsung earlier this year and I got it for free. I don’t really pay too many attention to its features or try to compare it with products from another brand because all I know is that it functions very well and serves my needs.
I realize there are some issues lately with a certain type of Samsung phone exploding but I do not pay any attention to it because, well, other gadgets from other brands have also exploded in the past for no reason too. In addition, I am not a very technical guy.
Second, the other electronic device that I mainly use and is more important in terms of its functionality is my laptop, which is an 8-year-old MacBook Pro. This laptop still works like a brand new one despite its old age.

Apps
I mainly use Whatsapp and Viber. The latter I have been using for a very long time to call my parents in New Zealand. Viber had a free phone call service long before Whatsapp did.
I have also installed some games and my taste is kind of old school. I installed Mortal Kombat fighting game and an open world game called Gangstar IV, which is very similar to Grand Theft Auto. In Gangstar IV, we also play criminals and it is a very fun game.
For social media, I use Facebook but I only open it once every six months. I also use Twitter to follow news portals and read the latest information. On Instagram, I mainly follow my favorite bands to see what they are up to. Being in the entertainment industry, I feel that it would be kind of weird for me to regularly update social media to tell people what I am doing. On social media, I am more of a reader than a sharer.
