tate-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina has managed to boost its upstream oil and gas performance despite sluggish global crude prices.
In its unaudited data, Pertamina recorded a 12.3 percent increase in crude production at 312,000 barrels of oil per day in 2016 from 278,000 the previous year.
Furthermore, the firm also managed to increase its gas production to 1,961 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) from 1,902 mmscfd in 2015.

However, Pertamina spokesperson Wianda Pusponegoro acknowledged that geothermal production had decreased slightly in the past year.
“There was a slight 0.5 percent decrease in gigawatt hours [GWh] from the previous year. However, there was still an increase from 2014,” she said during a press conference on Monday.
Pertamina’s data show that geothermal production had decreased slightly to 3,043 GWh last year from 3,057 GWh in 2015. (bbn)
