Five pollsters in West Sulawesi will release quick counts of the West Sulawesi gubernatorial election on Wednesday.
The pollsters are PT Arun Televisi Network, PT Citra Komunikasi LSI, PT Indo Barometer, PT Indonesian Political Marketing and the Media Research Center.
West Sulawesi General Elections Commission (KPU West Sulawesi) member Adi Arwan said the five pollsters were allowed to conduct quick counts as they met KPU requirements.
Adi said, however, that the KPU West Sulawesi vote recapitulation would be held on Feb. 17.
"Go ahead if you want to follow the quick counts by the five pollsters. But the official vote count is the one manually held by the KPU West Sulawesi," Adi went on.
Voting took place in 2,756 polling stations in six regencies in West Sulawesi, namely Majene, Mamuju, Central Mamuju, North Mamuju, Mamasa and Polewali Mandar. (trw)
Three tickets ran in the election: Suhardi Duka-Kalma Katta, Salim S Mengga-Hasanuddin Mas'ud and Ali Baal Masdar-Enny Anggraeni Anwar. (trw)
