eople in Greater Jakarta may need to prepare their umbrellas on Friday as the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has forecast rain in some areas of the capital and its satellite cities.
“In the morning, most areas will be cloudy,” BMKG spokesperson Hary Tirto Djatmiko said on Friday in a statement. He added that in the afternoon, light rain would fall in Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, East Jakarta and Bekasi in West Java.
Meanwhile, rain of medium intensity would fall in Tangerang, Banten and Depok, West Java. In the evening, Hary said, South Jakarta, East Jakarta, West Jakarta, Tangerang, Depok, Bogor and Bekasi would potentially see light rain, while medium intensity rain was expected in Thousand Islands regency, North Jakarta and Central Jakarta.
“Early on Saturday, showers will potentially occur in South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Depok and Bekasi while medium intensity rain will potentially occur in Thousand Islands regency, North Jakarta and Central Jakarta. (fac)
