Film director Joko Anwar’s favorite to win best picture award at this year’s Oscars is La La Land.
“La La Land is simply the best film among the contenders,” Joko told The Jakarta Post.
La La Land is competing against Arrival, Fences, Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water, Hidden Figures, Lion, Manchester by the Sea and Moonlight for this year’s best picture award.
Joko not only favors La La Land to win the best picture award. He also likes the chances of the film’s main cast members — Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone — to win the best actor and best actress awards.
“The competing actors and actresses actually show the same level of performance this year but Gosling and Stone might win because La La Land is more likely to win the best picture award,” he said.
