he Bali Police are set to deploy more than 1,000 joint personnel to secure the visit of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his entourage to Bali from March 4 to 9.
“We will deploy 878 personnel and with additional forces, there will be more than 1,000 personnel,” the police’s chief Insp.Gen.Petrus Golose said as quoted by Antara at the Bali Police headquarters in Denpasar on Wednesday.
He said security measures would be implemented starting from the arrival of King Salman and his entourage at Ngurah Rai International Airport, while routes and hotels had been cleared for the visit.

The Bali Police’s traffic division has prepared security, including escorts for King Salman and his entourage during their travels on the Bali Mandara toll road from Ngurah Rai Airport to the Nusa Dua resort area.
Golose said he hoped residents could exercise patience amid the traffic reroutes and road closures during the king’s visit.
Bali Police traffic director Sr.Comr. Anak Agung Sudana said the police would stop all vehicles around 500 meters from the area where King Salman and his entourage passed on their way to Nusa Dua.
“We have readied 78 cars and 38 motorcycles for the guarding,” he said. (hol/ebf)
