he Jakarta Police destroyed on Thursday hundreds of kilograms of drugs, including a new form of synthetic marijuana, "gorilla tobacco", which has recently increased in popularity. The narcotics were confiscated in 19 raids conducted by the Jakarta Police over the past two months.
Using an incinerator, the police destroyed 9.77 kilograms of gorilla tobacco, which contains synthetic cannabinoids, 117 kg of methamphetamine, 228,978 ecstasy pills and 22,360 nimetazepam “happy five” pills, which were supplied by international drugs syndicate from the Netherlands, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Gorilla tobacco, Jakarta Police chief Insp. Gen. Mochammad Iriawan said, has a "much greater hallucinogenic effect than marijuana, which has made demand for it grow quickly."
