tate-owned energy giant Pertamina has a new spokesperson after appointing Adiatma Sardjito as its new vice president of corporate communications, replacing Wianda Pusponegoro.
The transfer of office ceremony was held at the company's headquarters in Jakarta on Friday.
“I was corporate secretary at Pertagas,” said Adiatma after the ceremony, referring to a subsidiary company of Pertamina as reported by tribunnews.com. There was no further comment from him about his appointment.
His appointment follows the appointment of Elia Massa Manik as president director of the company after the position was held by its acting CEO, following the dismissal of Pertamina president director Dwi Soetjipto and deputy Ahmad Bambang on Feb. 3 over concerns of a lack of teamwork and escalating conflict.
After his appointment, Elia emphasized the need to establish a unified board of directors. He underlined the need for unity, insisting it was the only way Pertamina would be able to reach its goal of becoming a world-class energy company by 2025. (bbn)
