PT Nissan Motor Indonesia has appointed Eiichi Koito from Mitsubishi Motors as its president director to replace Antonio Zara, who led the company since April 2016.
T Nissan Motor Indonesia (NMI) has appointed Eiichi Koito from Mitsubishi Motors as its president director to replace Antonio Zara, who led the company since April 2016.
Koito will start his new job on April 1. He is currently Mitsubishi Motors Japan's general manager of global after sales.
Koito will handle the Nissan and Datsun brands as well as the factory.
"Eiichi Koito has a consistent record of high performance and extensive experience in the automotive industry and in Mitsubishi. His experience in handling the Indonesian market in his previous roles will be extremely beneficial for us,” said Yutaka Sanada, regional senior vice president for Nissan Asia and Oceania in a media release.

In October last year, Mitsubishi became a part of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, the fourth-biggest automotive producer in the world, after Nissan bought 34 percent of Mitsubishi Motors. Mitsubishi Group has retained 20 percent of Mitsubishi Motors.
Antonio Zara has been promoted to Nissan Asia and Oceania transformation projects senior vice president. Before joining NMI, the Filipino was Nissan Philippines Inc. president director. (bbn)
