he Directorate General of Taxation plans to question taxpayers who still owe the government and haven't taken part in the tax amnesty that ended last Friday.
“Those who had taken part in the tax amnesty, we will not question them, but those who have not taken part in the program, we will,” said taxation director general Ken Dwijugiasteadi in Jakarta on Monday as reported by tribunnews.com.
The questioning of the allegedly naughty taxpayers must be held at tax offices, but if they take place outside the office, tax officials are to get permits from their superiors, said Ken.

The standard procedure of the interrogation should be initiated with the sending of summons letters to taxpayers, he added.
Up to the last day the program, 956,000 people took part in the nine-month-long tax amnesty, less than the government target of 2 million. Declared assets were worth Rp 4.855 quadrillion (US$364.13 billion), consisting of Rp 3.676 quadrillion in declared overseas assets, Rp 1.031 quadrillion in assets in Indonesia and Rp 147 trillion in repatriated assets.
