ublicly listed PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan, owner and operator of OMNI Hospitals, plans to establish a new hospital in Pekayon, Bekasi, West Java to meet customer demand.
The company would start the construction of the new hospital after Idul Fitri in late June, director Hassan Themas told reporters after the company’s shareholders meeting in Jakarta on Monday.
“We are now still processing the permits for the establishment of the 20,000-square-meter hospital with a capacity of 250 beds,” he said.
The construction would be partly financed with 50 percent of the Rp 200 billion (US$15.01 million) allocated for this year’s capital expenditures, he said.
He said the remainder of the capital expenditure funds would be spent for the procurement of equipment for the company’s existing hospitals.
The company currently operates three hospitals – in Pulomas, East Jakarta, in Alam Sutera, Banten, and in Cikarang, West Java. Hassan said the company planned to establish another hospital in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, in the near future.
He said that after distributing 30 percent of 2016’s net profits worth Rp 14.8 billion as dividends, the company would split its shares from the current face value of Rp 100 per sheet to Rp 20. The company was trying to increase its revenues by 25 percent in 2017 from Rp 635 billion in 2016, he said. (yon/ags)
