P

olice are hunting down suspects following the attack against two members of the Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres) in Gambir, Central Jakarta, earlier this week.

"We already have the suspects' names and details. We just have to catch them," Central Jakarta Police chief Sr. Comr. Suyudi said on Friday, as quoted by kompas.com.

Suyudi added that several witnesses had been questioned regarding the case.

Private First Class Rico Candra Pasaribu and Private Second Class Fatah Kudus were riding a motorcycle on Tuesday when Pasaribu reportedly got into a heated argument with another motorcycle rider on Jl. Kesehatan at around 6.45 p.m.

Around 30 minutes later, their argument had descended into physical violence. Pasaribu was attacked by three people and badly injured with two stabs to his stomach. Fatah, who tried to help his colleague, was beaten and stabbed in the back five times.

They were still being treated at the Gatot Subroto Army Central Hospital in Central Jakarta as of Friday. (kuk)
