Prosecutors demanded that the Jakarta Corruption Court sentence two defendants to two years in prison on Friday.
They also demanded that Muhammad Adami Okta and Hardy Stevanus, both staff members of tech firm PT Melati Technofo Indonesia, be fined Rp 100 million (US$7,495).
Prosecutors have accused Hardy and Adami of bribing four top officials of the Maritime Security Board (Bakamla) so that their company would win a bid for the procurement of satellite monitoring equipment.
In their sentence demand, Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) prosecutors said the alleged bribery by Adami and Hardy was against the government's program to eradicate corruption, collusion and nepotism, kompas.com reported.
Previously, former Bakamla deputy chairman Eko Susilo Hadi was indicted on bribery charges carrying a maximum 20-year prison sentence. Bakamla chief Vice Adm. Arie Soedewo has also been implicated in the case. (mos/ebf)
