ity-owned bus operator PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is scheduled to start transporting passengers along Corridor 13’s elevated route next month for a trial period.
“We have scheduled to start [the trial period] on June 12,” Transjakarta spokesman Wibowo said on Sunday as quoted by kompas.com.
Transjakarta has been sending buses along the route, without carrying any passengers, to familiarize drivers with the elevated road.
Wibowo added that acting governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat was scheduled to test the route on Monday. Djarot will be accompanied by Tangerang Mayor Arief Wismansyah.
Corridor 13 will connect Jl. Tendean with Jl. Ciledug in South Jakarta, with an estimated journey time of around 30 minutes. The route will have 12 bus shelters. (kuk/wit)
