he Jakarta Police's medical and health center head, Sr. Comr. Umar Shahab, told reporters on Thursday that all victims undergoing treatment in various hospitals would be transferred to the National Police Hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, as soon as possible.
"We will gather all the victims, both civilians and police officers, at the hospital to ease our investigation, as we will need to question them [as witnesses]," he said.
Police have yet to identify two bodies that may be the remains of the attack’s perpetrators.
Meanwhile, Umar said all three deceased police officers, all of whom were second brigades, would be given posthumous promotions to first brigades.
Separately, an official with the Witness and Victim Protection Agency said the agency would provide victims with compensation for physical and material loss.
"We will cooperate with the Densus 88 antiterror unit to determine the amount of compensation. After that, we will file a request for the compensation with the court," said Hasto Atmojo Suroyo, the agency deputy chairman. (dea/kuk)
