roperty giant Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) announced on Friday its plan to distribute Rp 96.23 billion (US$7.21 million) in dividends, or Rp 5 per share.
The distribution, agreed during a shareholders meeting held on the day, is equal to 5.36 percent of the firm’s 2016 net profit of Rp 1.8 trillion.
This year, the firm targets to reap Rp 7.23 trillion in sales, including Rp 2.85 trillion from the commercial sector, which includes offices and shop houses, and Rp 3.5 trillion from the residential sector. The target is a 10.7 percent increase from the Rp 6.5 trillion in revenues the company raked in last year.
“We’re upbeat about growth due to the economic recovery this year,” BSD director Hermawan Wijaya told a public expose after the shareholders meeting at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City in South Tangerang, Banten.
In the first quarter of 2017, the company earned Rp 1.7 trillion in revenues, or a 54 percent increase year-on-year (yoy), while its profit nearly tripled to Rp 733 billion.
For sales, BSD is pinning its hopes on various new clusters in BSD City in Banten, as well as pipeline projects, like Southgate TB Simatupang in South Jakarta, Aerium in Taman Permata Buana, West Jakarta, and Klaska apartment in Surabaya, East Java. (bbn)
