he Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor) has sentenced senior police officer Adj. Sr. Comr. Raden Brotoseno to five years in prison and a Rp 300 million (US$22,580) fine for his involvement in a bribery case.

“We conclude that the defendant has been proven and declared guilty on a collaborative and continued graft case,” presiding judge Baslin Sinaga told the court on Wednesday.

Judges added that Brotoseno, who was also former investigator at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), had failed the government’s efforts to eradicate corruption.
