onsumer goods corporation PT Unilever Indonesia inaugurated its new headquarters on Wednesday in Bumi Serpong Damai in South Tangerang, Banten, which it claims signifies its commitment to invest in Indonesia.
The building, called Grha Unilever, was built on 30,000 square meters of land and required a total investment of Rp 1.34 trillion (US$100.61 million).
“It is great that we made this investment, which symbolizes our long-term commitment to Indonesia,” Unilever global CEO Paul Polman said on Wednesday.

The new building was designed to consolidate four Unilever offices that were previously scattered across Jakarta.
Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto and Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) head Thomas Lembong attended the inauguration.
Unilever Indonesia has reiterated its commitment to invest $500 million domestically over the next few years, primarily to expand its factories. It invested Rp 8.5 trillion from 2010 to 2015.
Unilever Indonesia has 39 brands, which it divides into four categories: namely personal care, home care, food and refreshments. (tas)
