olice have arrested one of two men they believe to have been involved in an attempted robbery in Tangerang, Banten, that ended with the death of Italia Chandra Kirana Putri, 22.
The Trisakti University dentistry student was shot in the chest on June 12 after she attacked two man with a broomstick when she caught them attempting to steal her motorcycle at a housing complex in Tangerang, Banten.
“I will give more information about the arrest tomorrow,” Jakarta Police chief Insp. Gen. M. Iriawan said on Wednesday as quoted by Antara news agency, adding that he had not yet received the official report about the arrest.
Iriawan said the men were known to police and they were suspected of having been behind several robberies.
