he National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (Lapan) will investigate an unidentified object that fell from the sky in Agam regency, West Sumatra, a local Lapan official has said.
“We will send the object to Lapan’s space science center in Bandung, West Java, in order to identify the object, which is suspected to be part of a rocket fuel tank,” Agam regency Lapan official Syafrijon was quoted as saying by Antara.
Local people previously reported that a spherical object had fallen out of the sky on Tuesday morning and landed on a road. They said an explosion followed.
The local Lapan office handed the object over to the police to be examined.
