The Korean Cultural Center is now accepting sign-ups for traditional Korean dance classes for women. Registration is open from July 17 to 31; you can register by filling out a form accessible through id.korean-culture.org/id/487/board/233/read/82544 and sending it to cultureclass@kccindonesia.org. The classes for the buchaechum, popularly known as the fan dance, will be held every Monday to Friday from Aug. 10 to 30.
The classes will be tought in Korean by instructors from the National Gugak Center in Korea. They are divided into two categories: beginner and intermediate. To join the intermediate category, participants must have basic dance skills in order to learn quickly. The registration fee is Rp 100,000 per person, with fans and the Hanbok dress provided by the cultural center. Course participants will get a chance to perform on Aug. 30, with the venue and time to be confirmed later.
