T

he Indonesian Embassy in Sweden will hold the inaugural Kampung Indonesia cultural festival on Friday and Saturday in Kungsträdgården, Stockholm, to give people a chance to learn more about Indonesia.

Starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m., the festival, which name means Indonesian village, will include various musical and culinary activates as well as a photo exhibition to name a few, the embassy said in a statement on Tuesday.

Ambassador Bagas Hapsoro has encouraged potential visitors to explore the exhibition to get an idea of what a holiday in Indonesia would be like.

An angklung bamboo ensemble, the Saung Udjo troupe, will also perform. The group has previously performed in many countries and perform musical numbers including hits by iconic Swedish pop group, ABBA.

Those seeking a culinary experience can take part in a live cooking demonstration by top chef William Wongso and sample Indonesian dishes provided by Erna’s Bistro and Warung Restaurant.
