hese are some of the development we will be following today:
- The House of Representatives is holding a plenary session today with the agenda of endorsing a number of new key regulations, including Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) No. 1/2017 on financial information. The Perppu is a legal basis for the government to take part in the Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) initiated by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
- Later this afternoon, former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto are scheduled to hold a meeting, raising speculation that the two senior generals may be making plans together for the 2019 presidential election.
- To boost tourism, which suffered from terror attacks in recent years, French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe unveiled a new plan to cut visa delivery time to 48 hours for applicants from a number of countries, including Indonesia.
