orruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators searched several offices at Malang City Hall in East Java, including the mayor’s and deputy mayor’s offices, as part of its probe into a graft case on Wednesday.
KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah confirmed the commission had named several suspects in the case after interrogating several officials.
As of 8 p.m., no details of the suspects had been released.
KPK chairman Agus Raharjo said only that, “I think it is related to Malang legislative council members and the Malang Cipta Karya agency.”
Malang Mayor Mochamad Anton and administration secretary Wasto were seen accompanying the KPK team.
Wasto said he did not have details of the investigation. “I am relatively new to this position,” he said.
The search, which began at around 9 a.m., was completed by around 6.30 p.m.
