inger Sherina Munaf loves to watch animation films from Studio Ghibli. One of them comes with a score that brings tears to her eyes.

“Princess Mononoke’s music score always make me cry,” Sherina said as quoted by antaranews.com at The World of Ghibli press conference

Earlier this week, Sherina attended a Princess Mononoke screening at a cinema with Studio Ghibli fans.

Watching one of her favorite movies on the big screen for the first time made her realize the many things she had missed when watching it on a television or monitor.

“I better understand what the movie wants to say,” she said.

Sherina highlighted how Ghibli movies portray strong female characters. Almost every work from the leading Japanese animation studio has inspiring, prominent female characters.

“No damsels in distress,” she said.
