South Korean national, Seong Hoon Seuk, was allegedly involved in a fatal accident that killed a man and injured a woman on Friday night.

The incident took place at around midnight on Friday, South Jakarta Police spokesman Comr. Purwanta said. The car, a Honda Jazz driven by Seong, was reportedly speeding on Jl. Warung Jati Barat, Pancoran in South Jakarta before it lost control in front of the Jakarta Medical Center Hospital, hitting a motorcycle in front of him heading in the same direction.

“The motorcycle driver, Dadang, suffered wounds to his head and died on the scene,” Purwanta said as reported by wartakota.tribunnews.com on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a female passenger, Titin, was thrown off the motorcycle a few meters away and suffered injuries to her body.

“She was immediately taken care of at the JMC Hospital,” he said.

The police apprehended the South Korean driver and took him to the South Jakarta Traffic Unit office for questioning.

The deceased victim was taken to Fatmawati Hospital in South Jakarta. (dra)
