The police’s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) head, Brig. Gen. Herry Rudolf Nahak, said Tuesday that seven buildings owned by First Travel owners Andika Surachman and his wife Anniesa Desvitasari had been seized by police investigators.
The assets were a home in Sentul City, Bogor; a house in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta; a rented house in Cilandak, South Jakarta and three First Travel offices in Cimanggis, Jl. TB Simatupang and Jl. Rasuna Said, South Jakarta.
Besides managing the travel agency, Anniesa is also a designer and owns a boutique.
“Anniesa’s boutique in the Promenade building on Jl. Bangka Raya in Kemang [South Jakarta] was also confiscated,” Herry said Tuesday, as quoted by kompas.com.
Furthermore, the investigators also seized the couple’s five cars.
Thirty-one savings account passbooks were also seized by the investigators and they have asked the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK) to investigate the flow of funds from the accounts.
“We also seized more than 14,000 pilgrims’ passports,” Herry said.
During raids in several locations, the police also seized cell phones, pilgrims’ documents, swords and several types of replica guns. (wnd)
