ekasi Police are continuing their investigation into sexual abuse against children that allegedly took place in Mustika Jaya, Bekasi, West Java, several weeks ago.
“We receive a report of sexual violence against two children. The victims have received medical treatment and we are developing an investigation,” Bekasi Police spokesperson Comr. Erna Ruswing said on Tuesday as quoted by kompas.com.
Erna added that police had questioned a suspect, who claimed he was on campus when the assaults took place.
“The investigation is still ongoing, and we will question more witnesses and verify the alleged perpetrator’s claim,” Erna said.
The victims are 5 and 9 years old. The incident reportedly took place on Aug. 11 at two separate locations. (fac)
