ogor Police have arrested the alleged murderer of Indria Kameswari, who was found dead last week in her house in the River Valley residential estate in Cijeruk, Bogor, West Java.
The suspect, identified as Abdul Malik Azis, was arrested in Riau Islands last Sunday – a day after Indria’s body was found.
“Based on his confession, the murder motive is a domestic argument,” said Bogor Police chief Sr. Comr. Andi Muhammad Dicky Pastika, as quoted by tempo.co on Tuesday.
Abdul had reportedly been arguing with Indria, who had demanded her husband buy her a luxury car, from Friday evening until Sunday morning, when he allegedly could no longer hold back his anger and shot his wife.
Based on the police’s examination, the bullet hit Indria’s lungs and immediately killed her.
Police, Andi said, were currently looking for the weapon used by Abdul.
“He is not being cooperative since his detention. He does not want to say where the gun is and where he got it from,” Andi added.
Separately, Abdul’s sister Siti Nuraeni said her brother and Indria had often been involved in arguments, as the latter had often “gone mad” while asking for a luxury car and house. (agn)
