ational Development Planning Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro has said that the government team assigned to undertake a study on relocating the capital city from Jakarta to other cities has nearly completed its task.
Speaking on Tuesday at a gathering of 100 economists in Jakarta, Bambang said that the results of the study would be submitted to President Joko Widodo in late December, according to the kompas.com report.
Bambang said the study covered a number of aspects, including financial schemes and other facilities needed for a capital city, but excluded spatial planning.

He declined to mention the proposed location of the new capital.
Among the strong candidates for the new location of the capital are cities in Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and South Kalimantan. (bbn)
