Cikampek toll road sees light traffic after Christmas

raffic heading to Jakarta following Christmas, previously expected to peak on Tuesday, was light on toll roads managed by state firm toll road operator Jasa Marga.
Only light traffic was seen on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.
Toward Cikampek, traffic jams occurred in Cikunir to West Bekasi and from West Cikatang to East Cikarang, kompas.com reported.
Meanwhile, toward Jakarta, traffic was relatively smooth, with light congestion at the 66-kilometer following a car accident.
During the peak of holiday traffic, 90,520 cars are expected to pass through the Cikarang Utama toll gates to Jakarta, higher compared to normal daily traffic of 71,000 vehicles. (wnd/wit)
