he East Jakarta municipality, in cooperation with the East Jakarta chapter of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi), will hold a bazaar to sell lower-priced staple foods starting on Feb. 3.
East Jakarta Mayor Bambang Musyawardhana said Wednesday that the bazaar would initially run for the duration of the 2018 East Jakarta Commodity Week.
Bambang was quoted by kompas.com as saying that the staple foods on offer would be priced 10 percent lower than those on sale in markets.

“The program will be tied up with the city administration's OK OCE program," Bambang said, referring to Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan's flagship program during his gubernatorial campaign to revive the local economy.
East Jakarta Hipmi chairman Andre Tirtoadji hopes the bazaar will run until the end of the year. (nmn)
